RunOperun
The artistic collective RunOperun, founded in 2015, has as its main goal to bring opera closer to audiences who are far from this genre. It responds to contemporary events in the world and places opera as an equal partner among other branches of the cultural industry. The creators of opera performances are themselves graduates of artistic disciplines studying or having studied artistic disciplines such as directing, dramaturgy, scenography, lighting design, acting, singing, musical instruments or music production. Together, as a community of artists who share values that they discuss with each other, they create coherent projects with a clear vision. Thanks to RUN OPERUN, opera can be heard in a club, at Prague Castle and in the streets of Olomouc. RunOperun makes the waiters or cleaners sing, creates tailor-made chamber concerts and elaborate cultural programmes for the whole evening. This brings classical music to places other than those seemingly intended for it. All this in interaction with the audience, with respect to place and occasion.
