The Cold Licks

The Cold Licks is a power trio from Prague. The leader of the band is artist Jonáš Ledecký, who put the band together to have a place to vent his guitar solos. He has known Honza Heřman for a long time (when he was the poet of Doctor Victor). Honza had only one condition, that he would play with Jonáš, and that was to put Zdeněk Puchmeltér behind the drums. After the first rehearsal it was clear that he knew why. Honza Heřman currently plays in Janek Ledecký's band and Zdeněk Puchmeltr in Marta Jandová's band. The Cold Licks songs are composed by Jonáš Ledecký and the lyrics are written by John Riley, with whom Jonáš created the Pussycat Assassins comic series for Playboy magazine. In 2023, The Cold Licks won the international Blues Aperitiv band competition.
