Portál – Visitor Centre, Port 1560
Portál – The Visitor Centre is the gateway to the Port 1560 area. Where beer was once cooled in three bulky tanks and then shipped to various pubs near and far, today the design is dominated by an anchorless metal staircase, concrete, corten, glass and a beautiful open-roofed roof. It’s worth lingering here a little longer than you’d be comfortable buying tickets – the sgraffiti and the combination of original architecture dating back to the late Gothic with the ensuing modernism encourages you to do so.
