Český Krumlov Municipal Theatre
Český Krumlov Municipal Theatre continues the presents the rich, more than five hundred years of theatre tradition in Český Krumlov. The current theatre building in Horní Street was opened on 22 June 1993 with the performance of John Steinbeck’s play “Of Mice and Men”. Today the theatre is an architecturally and technically modern cultural stand with a theatre hall with a capacity of 265 spectators. The public areas are wheelchair accessible (except for the balcony). Of course, there is a non-smoking theatre club ÁNTRÉ with a varied offer and in the summer months a theatre terrace with the most beautiful view of the historical centre of the city with the dominant castle. Since 1996 the theatre has been run by the Municipal Theatre Český Krumlov, a non-profit company founded by the town of Český Krumlov.
