Summer Theatre Stage for Families and Kids
This cheerful excursion into the insect realm following the adventures of the famous fairy-tale character based on the book of the same name by Ondřej Sekora is brought to you by Divadlo Sem Tam Fór Praha. The stage adaptation was prepared by Jitka Smejkalová and Petr Vaněk. Ferda shipwrecks abroad, is captured by rufous ants, and is forced to work as a slave for various representatives of the insect kingdom. He serves as a trumpeter and trumpet carrier for a bumblebee, fetches captured insects for Masorád the ground beetle, refuses to round up ants for the antlion larva Ťutínek, and cares for caddisfly larvae. In the end, however, he is rescued and returns to his homeland. The cast features Jan Julínek (Brouk Pytlík / Beetle Pytlík and others) and Aneta Julínková (Ferda Mravenec / Ferda the Ant and others).
