Perchta mixed choir

The Perchta Municipal Choir was founded in 1994 as a mixed choir. In their repertoire we can find compositions of Renaissance polyphony, baroque, classicism or compositions by contemporary authors as well as arrangements of folk songs. Perchta cooperates with professional orchestras. The choir has two CDs to its credit – as part of the European Weeks international music festival in Passau, they introduced to the world premiere of Massenet’s mystery Eva and Brahms’ Gesang def Parzen, Schicksalslied and Alt-Rhapsody. The choir presented Czech music in Slovenia, Austria, Germany and Italy. At the end of last year, they performed in the Dvořák Hall of the Prague Rudolfinum during the international music festival PONTES 2007. The choir’s latest success is the 1st place in the silver band at the 26th International Choir Competition in Preveza in the summer of 2008. Since 2013, the choir has been led by JUDr. Eva Rehulková.
