The South Czech Philharmonic

The South Czech Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in České Budějovice in 1981 and has been led by its chief conductor Miran Vaupotić since 2021.

In addition to performing music by classical composers and works suitable for smaller orchestras, the orchestra follows the current trend of combining genres and discovering new approaches to interpretation. In this way, it opens up classical music to younger audiences and the wider public.
