DAY WITH CHICKEN
The group KVĚTY has existed since the beginning of this millennium. Throughout this time, its sound has changed significantly. The focus has shifted from acoustic instruments to a denser rock sound with frequent use of electronics.
Although it is experimental and searching, the number of its listeners has grown into a very wide spectrum. Its powerful lyrics, colorful arrangements, brilliant visual design of album covers, energetic concerts, and the presence of humor are highly valued.
The band has played hundreds of performances, including international ones (Serbia, Austria, Poland, France, the Netherlands, Ukraine). Among other awards, the group received the Vinyla Award and also won the Anděl Award three times in the Alternative Music category.
The group collaborated with the DNO theater, recorded music for a radio play, and composed and recorded songs for the TV series World Under My Head (Svět pod hlavou), which was awarded a Czech Lion. The band also composed and recorded music for Jakub Šmíd's feature film Na krátko and for the films Veteran and Martian Ships (Marťanské lodě). Many tracks were also created on commission for various compilation albums and projects.
