Castle Park
The Baroque park (garden), founded in the second half of the 17th century, is an integral and largest part of the Krumlov castle. The picturesque area is located on a hill and a slope adjacent to the fifth courtyard.
The castle park has four magical parts. These are the terraces of the so-called Štěpnice and the terraces of the so-called Summer Riding Hall, lined with tall linden trees. They are followed by the terraces of the so-called Lower Parterre with a slightly reconstructed Rococo decoration and a cascade fountain, as well as the terraces of the so-called Upper Garden. The latter boasts a square castle pond, a music pavilion and the beautifully restored Bellarie summer palace, a rarely preserved and very valuable Rococo garden building, the only one of its kind in the Czech Republic.
