Slam poetry is a performative genre of original poetry that brings serious, humorous, vital, utterly irrelevant, or any other kind of themes to life in a dynamic, engaging, and interactive format. Taking the mic will be the reigning Czech Slam Champion (2024) Matěj from the band Matěj and other talented slam poets. The event is organized by the Slamatéři collective, which supports the growth of the slam scene and helps newcomers enter this remarkable — and still relatively new — genre. Kuba Vaclík is a singer and guitarist from South Bohemia. He gravitates mainly toward international music, performing a mix of indie, pop rock, and folk — both covers and original songs.
