35th Festival Krumlov

The 35th edition combines tradition and modernity, developing the unique character of the festival, which draws on the genius loci of Český Krumlov and its surroundings. The theme of this year’s festival – Labyrinth of Stories – will take us to 14 concert venues, where music and storytelling will come together in a unified experience.

Symphony / Opera

Symphony/opera is a royal series, full of the most opulent works and the most spectacular evenings, whether in the Brewery Garden, the Castle Riding Hall, or the Summer Riding Hall. These are Fridays and Saturdays that will captivate you and never let you go. How many times until next Friday and next Saturday? In this series, we will encounter famous symphony orchestras, great opera voices, stages filled to capacity with musicians, and therefore excellent music.

A Thousand and One Nights / Shéhérazade

The fairy-tale world of the legend of A Thousand and One Nights comes to life with Ravel and Rimsky-Korsakov. Oriental rhythms, acrobatic creations, stage dance, and the velvety voice of Fatma Said narrating the story of Scheherazade.

A musical fresco between Mussorgsky’s fantasy and Rachmaninoff’s emotional depth. Lukáš Vondráček, the most prominent pianist of today, and the PRSO conducted by Tomáš Brauner in a dialogue between piano and orchestra at the peak of romantic expressiveness.

Violinist Boha Moon’s first Festival Krumlov concert features Brahms’ concerto and the premiere of compositions by a Czech composer. Pianist and composer Tomáš Kačo will take on the solo part in the premiere of his work The Labyrinth of the World and the Paradise of the Heart, written for the Prague Philharmonia orchestra.
