Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (Soundtrack)
Jan Valta
Jan Valta Jr. is a Czech composer, arranger, orchestrator, conductor and a violinist. He graduated from the Conservatory in Teplice and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. He is best known for composing the soundtracks to Kingdom Come: Deliverance (2018) and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (2025), the video games created by the Warhorse Studios and led by the creative director Daniel Vávra, that up to this date together sold over 14M copies world-wide. Their soundtracks have also been performed as part of numerous concerts. Based on these performances, Jan was awarded two OSA (Czech Author’s Rights Society) Awards in 2024: The Most Successful Classical Work and The Most Successful Classical Composer award. Besides his co-operation with the Warhorse Studios, Jan also created numerous scores such as of the film Zbojník (Outlaw, 2023), two TV series, orchestrated scores of many projects (films, music libraries projects etc.) and created around 1000 arrangements of various genres and line-ups. As a violinist, during his studies Jan became a member of the Czech Philharmonic for two seasons. Since 1998 he’s been a member of the Herold Quartet, a classical ensemble which toured about 20 countries. Jan is currently working on an another unannounced project developed by the Warhorse Studios.
Bakchus
Bakchus is a medieval music ensemble founded in 2006, which has since performed hundreds of concerts throughout Europe and Japan. It consists of four professional musicians from Prague and Brno with extensive experience in classical music, musicals, and jazz. The ensemble’s repertoire includes European songs and dances from the 12th to 16th centuries, played on replicas of historical instruments such as bagpipes, shawms, animal horns, quinterna, lute, fidula, and harp. The group regularly participates in film and television productions. Its music has been featured in films such as Borgia, Cyril and Methodius, The Pilgrims, Martin’s Secret, The Puppeteers, The Three Musketeers (BBC), Sofia, Knightfall, Ophelia, Maria Theresa, The Clairvoyant 2, The Journey to the Troll King, Whiskey Cavalier, Prague Crime, Letter to the King, The Magician Queen, Nebe s.r.o., Chevalier, Kola času, Léto s Evženem, The Face of Horror, and others. She composes incidental music for radio, theater, and video games, including David and Bathsheba (ČRo), Tvrz – “Komedie husitská” (Bolek Polívka Theater), and Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Brno Philharmonic
The present-day Brno Philharmonic was founded in 1956 through the merger of the radio orchestra and the regional orchestra, and since then it has ranked among the leading Czech orchestras in terms of both size and artistic significance. Over the course of its history, the orchestra has been shaped by numerous Czech and international conducting personalities, including Břetislav Bakala, František Jílek, Petr Altrichter, Jiří Bělohlávek, Sir Charles Mackerras, Jakub Hrůša, and Tomáš Netopil. Since the 2018/2019 season, Dennis Russell Davies has served as Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Brno Philharmonic. The orchestra regularly records for Czech Radio, Czech Television, and a number of recording companies (Supraphon, Sony Music, IMG Records, BMG, Channel 4), and since 2020 it has operated its own recording label. Today, the Brno Philharmonic is not only a strong presence in the field of symphonic music both domestically and internationally, but also a leading organizer of the musical season in the Czech Republic’s second-largest city. It is an active festival presenter (Špilberk Festival, Moravian Autumn, Easter Festival of Sacred Music, Exposition of New Music, Mozart’s Children), a creative leader in orchestral programming, and an innovative producer of a wide range of educational activities.
