Parking in Český Krumlov

Visitors to the city have access to 842 parking spaces for passenger cars in parking lots P1–P7 in close proximity to the city center. If you are traveling by motorhome or caravan, you can park in parking lot P7. The first 40 minutes are free in these parking lots. There is a designated BUS-STOP for tour buses to drop off and pick up passengers, and the P-BUS and BUS PARKING car parks are reserved for parking tour buses.

P2 – Pod poštou parking lot

  • below the main post office, near the monasteries and the Port 1560 complex (brewery)

P3 – City Park parking lot

  • 174 parking spaces, including disabled parking spaces
  • in the meander of the Vltava River between the City Park and the Children and Youth Center, partially shaded by mature trees, with a city park with a playground and a children’s traffic playground nearby

P4 – Castle Garden parking lot

  • 80 parking spaces
  • close to the castle gardens (park) and the Revolving Auditorium, with easy access to the castle

  • PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DISTANCE FROM THE ENTRANCE TO THE CASTLE GARDENS TO THE LAKE IS APPROXIMATELY 15 MINUTES ON FOOT.

P5 – Bus Station Parking Lot

  • 117 parking spaces, including 6 for disabled persons

Long-term parking rates

Continuous parking

  • Rates: Discounted rates available at parking lots P1, P2, P3, and P5, suitable for long-term continuous parking (typically more than 5 to 10 hours, depending on the specific parking lot).
  • Payment method: Payment is made at the automatic payment machine upon leaving the parking lot.
  • Note: Discounted rates for long-term parking are not available at parking lot P7.

Repeated entries & exits with multi-day parking cards

  • Purpose: Daily and multi-day parking cards allow multiple exits and re-entries. Cards work across all barrier-controlled lots.
  • Validity: Applicable for parking lots P1, P2, P3, P5.
  • Rates: Prices for parking cards correspond to discounted rates for long-term continuous parking.
  • Purchase locations: Infocenter Český Krumlov, Svornosti Square (seasonal opening hours), ČKRF Dispatch Center: P-BUS, Chvalšinská Street (opening hours: Monday–Sunday 08:00–19:00)
  • Important notice: A parking ticket received during the first entry cannot be exchanged for a multi-day parking card. If parking has already started and you wish to switch to a daily or multi-day card, you must: Pay the current parking fee (exit is free within 40 minutes) >>> Exit the parking lot. >>> Activate the daily or multi-day card upon re-entry.

Pedestrian zone and GPS navigation

The historic city center is designated as a pedestrian zone with special entry rules for vehicles. Drivers are advised to follow traffic signs and consult their accommodation provider for details.

Google Maps may direct drivers by car into the center (pedestrian zone) without warning about the restrictions.

Navigation app Mapy.cz correctly guides drivers to parking lots, with further pedestrian routes to the city center.
