Since its foundation in 2000, the vocal-instrumental group Ensemble Inégal has stood out as an unique group with its interpretations of music ranging from Renaissance to Romanticism. The name „Inégal“ -uneven - signifies not only variability of the number and configuration of performers but also versatility of style, dramaturgical invention and an unconventional approach to searching for unique interpretation values. Its quality is defined by the highly selective choice of its members, who are some of the best Czech and foreign singers and instrumentalists. Today, Ensemble Inégal is one of the top musical ensembles in Europe and, since its beginning, it has roused interest among the music-loving public and received many enthusiastic reviews from expert critics in Europe and the USA. The „Ensemble Inégal“ has released a number of very successful CDs.
The first CD recording of Mass in D-major, op. 86 "Lužanská" by Antonín Dvořák was made in 2001 in the Chateau chapel in Lužany. Dvořák composed the Mass for the consecration of this chapel.
